I feel terrible for not adding another post in a while. Especially when I didn't post all the things I said I was. Alas, life is a cruel mistress who loves to choke up your schedule. I'm sure everyone can relate to that.
So! As a result, I'm going to talk about three animes that really should have more recognition.
1) Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Alright, this a personal favorite of mine. If you're into conspiracies, government takeovers/uprisings, plus robot fighters, and supernatural powers, then this the anime for you. Lelouch, after meeting a mysterious girl named C.C., was bestowed with the power of Geass, or the power to control anyone he wishes. He uses this power to begin his plan to overthrow the Brittanian empire, and create a peaceful world for his younger sister to live in. However, this isn't an anime for everyone. It's a little hard to get hooked on considering the beginning isn't too interesting, but after the first few episodes, I guarantee you'll be hooked. There's surprises and twists in almost every episode. It truly is a well-made anime.
2) Trigun
Now, this anime is virtually unknown. Which is quite the shame considering how awesome is it. Trigun is set in the distant future after earth was destroyed, and focuses on a man named Vash the Stampede, who attracts trouble like a magnet, and is a professional gunmen. Lots of action, comedy, adventure, and touches of sadness here and there. It's also an older anime for those who can't stand old animes. I personally think that older animes are some of the best out there, but that's just me. Definitely an anime worth watching.
3) Deadman Wonderland
This anime is more popular and aired in different places, but still deserves recognition. This horror anime has an excellent plot, and is guaranteed to have you hooked after the first episode. The story follows Ganta Igarashi as a prisoner of the theme-park like prison known as Deadman Wonderland as he struggles with his mysterious power to control his blood, and use it as a weapon. It's quite dramatic and violent, and is very original in its concept. The only drawback is that it ended so abruptly. That's the only thing I hated about it. Other than that, its very addicting, very absorbing, and a great anime.
